The Little Things

Tomorrow Squigglefly is releasing some new images! You didn't forget did you? Here's another sneak peek at one of the fabulous new images. I am partial to wild animals. No Sean not you. Particularly Leopards, Cheetahs and Tigers. Imagine my delight when I found this beauty in my mailbox. It is called "Just A Bit Longer". I loved the combination of the papers so much that I decided not to color the image. I though it looked great all on its own.

The image was printed out on Kraft paper from Paper Temptress. And this was awesome! The ink took to the paper like a mouse on cheese. No heat setting or embossing no smearing. Perfect. Papers are Kraft, Black Crepe Ruche and the Khaki Crepe Ruche with a little twine involved. All papers can be found at Paper Temptress.

Doggies decided to help me a bit.

Tasha. Can't get a good pic of her shes always licking licking licking.

Ruby or Crunchy as we often call her. Just take a look at that beard.

And our sweet little dirty boy Krypto.

Thanks for stopping by. We are off to see New Moon tonight. Until tomorrow.

You Deserve the Best Day Ever

More Sparkle Blanc goodness! I love that paper! I had some digi scrapbooking paper hidden in a file that I thought was so pretty so I printed the digi paper and the digi image, Peek a Boo from Squigglefly, on Sparkle Blanc text weight. My card base is Sparkle Blanc cardstock. The cute little bunny is layered on Gold Sparkle and Sparkle Blanc cardstock. The borders are punched with a Fiskars combo punch/emboss.

All papers are from Paper Temptress.

Don't forget! Gingersnap Creations November Challenge sponsor, Paper Temptress, has graciously donated some wonderful blog candy for GC29: Chestnut Theme Challenge -Cozy Home, GC30: Spicy Supply - Buttons, and GC31: Color Challenge - Monochromatic! Check it out and play along!

The randomly drawn winner of the blog candy will recieve their choice of one of the following 4 variety packs of PaperTemptress paper: Spring Premium Package, Valentine's Day Package, HiT Summer Fun Package or the Christmas Paper Package.

Here's a peak at the Spring Premium Package:

from Patricia the Paper Temptress

"I am back from a fabulous cruise so time to get back to business! My business is to get as much PaperTemptress' cardstock into your paperstash (pretty blunt huh? LOL)as I can. To do that I have placed the Lustre paperline and the Sparkle paperline 25% off for the rest of November. Since the Lustre line is one of my favorites I want to insure that it becomes one of your favorites too so I am adding the stunning Silver Lustre Package @ 40% off too! Shoot why stop there.....The Sparkle Combo package, which is everyone else's favorite, will be 40% off too! The Vermillion and the Emeraude sparkle are perfect Christmas colors and the Lustre paperline would make any Christmas card stand out from the rest so don't miss this opportunity to save your dollars and add amazing cardstock to your designs. This sale is only going on until the end of November! Shh, don't tell anyone but I ordered new cardstock last night so more fabulous cardstock is going to be added soon!! Great paper makes designing so much easier!"

I got you babe

Squigglefly is releasing some new images on Saturday. Here's a little peekie at one of them. This is called Snuggle Buddies. I loved this image at first sight. So cute.

I pirnted the image on Sparkle Blanc text weight from Paper Temptress and colored with Copics. All of the other papers are from a Taylored Expressions October Key Ingredients Kit. The sentiment is a stamp I purchased from A Muse.

Night All!

Yep

tee hee

Look what I got today! It's okay. You can be jealous.

Brrrrrr....

Thought I would post something chilly for you since that is how I am feeling right now. We don't have snow but dang it is cold!
This is Cornish Heritage Farms Polar Bear Pair stamped and embossed on Laser Silver Lustre from Paper Temptress  (Gingersnap Creations sponsor this month)  that I had previously brushed on watered down acrylic paints. Just the cheapy paints from Michaels and sorry I don't recall the colors :-( What's so fantastic and lovely about this paper is the pattern of the paper still shows through and sort of floats to the top. Just so pretty. Seems I can add any ink to this paper and the paper insists on shining!

The image is layered on more Laser Silver Lustre and then Silver Stardream and then another layer of Laser Silver Lustre. The card base is Light Blue Basis. Corners, flourish and snowflakes were punched from the Laser Silver Lustre.
Hope everyone is having a terrific weekend and thanks for stopping by!

The Card base is Laser Red Glossy Lustre and the flourish accents are punched from Laser Black Glossy Lustre. All papers are from Paper Temptress.

Celebrate The Season

In honor of GC29:Chestnut Theme Challenge - Cozy Home and the November Challenge sponsor, PaperTemptress, I have created this card showcasing several papers from Paper Temptress.

The cozy house image is stamped on Silk Silver Lustre with Memento Tuxedo Brown. I used Marvy punches to cut out the scalloped circles. The house image is layered on Classic Columns Canyon Brown. Behind the scallops is the fabulous textured Green Crepe Ruche. The sentiment is stamped on Sandy Stripes Vellum. The card base is Classic Columns Canyon Brown.

Look at the gorgeous texture and movement of this paper.

The image and sentiment are from Hearts In Touch stamp sheet #134 HIT Christmas 2009.
Thanks for stopping by and have a terrific day!

Um didn't I tell you ;-)

In memory of Henry

A wonderful and dear blogging friend has experienced a tragic loss. Please read this.

Good times

My hair is a rats nest, my eyes are blood shot and Puddle of Mudd ROCKED the house!

Dang it!

I wanted to post this last week and my brain ran away from me. Anyone catch it for me? Seems to still be missing.

Cornish Heritage Farms was the ever generous sponser at Gingersnap Creations for October. CHF so kindly sent the GCDT some stamps to play with. One that I received was Polar Bear Pair that was released by CHF the week of 10/26 along with many other gorgeous stamps. I have another card to show you with the Polar Bear Pair but not today. Later ;-)

This is brayered glossy {glossy from Paper Temptress}  that reminded me of the Alaska Northern Lights and I thought it would be great with this stamp. And yep we all see things differently. Layers are random papers and I edged and sponged with gold leafing pen. I really love this stamp and I hope you do too. Show CHF some love!

Still Time!

Paper Temptress will be giving away 2 Variety Packages! Help spread the word to increase the giveaway! Patricia's goal is to give away 4 Variety Packages! That is a 1 out of 25 chance to win which are great odds! Everyone has until the end of the day on Wednedsay to follow the treasure hunt, guess the word, and then email  patricia@papertemptress.com!!

Also check out Paper Temptress for Maufacturer Mania at the Gingersnap Creations blog. While there, be sure to check out the Reasons to Stamp for November.

Happy Halloween!!

Is it over? Takira is too old right now to dress up and T or T. And dang it! I purchased this huge bag of candy from Costco because we totally live in a kid friendy and kid filled area and my doorbell range twice! Twice! Granted both groups were pretty large. But Twice! I have got to stop eating snickers and peanut butter cups. All my Jari Love & Cathe Friedrich workouts will have been for naught. I'm done and the rest is going somewhere else. My family will thank me :-)

Sooo. Whilst I was waiting for the doorbell to ring I was playing with Sparkle Paper and Artistic Outpost Stamps. We decided to eat za and watch a spooky movie so I didn't get it posted last night and today was get groceries in the house for the week day & late laundry so I'm a bit late on the Halloween theme. However, I put some time in to the card and I love this set so decided you need to see it too! :-)

The images are all from Vintage Halloween from Artistic Outpost. All the papers are from the Sparkle line at Paper Temptress.

I stamped on Sparkle Blanc and layered on Sparkle Noir, Sparkle Orange, Sparkle Emeraude and again on Sparkle Orange.

This is my favorite paper, besides the ruche, besides the poison ivory, besides the sorbet, besides the iridescent... you get the picture.

I love love love it. And I'm pretty sure I've said this before; I can stamp or print my digi images on the Sparkle text or cardstock, primarily the text for printing and I don't have to emboss or heat set in order to color with Copics. Fabulous paper I tell ya. And Patricia the Paper Temptress herself can tell you I love this paper! Among others of course.

So if you have read everything :-) Yay. Most of you know I don't say or talk much. I"m a bit tired tonight. Perhaps that is my "thang". Get me tired and I will talk your ear off. Finally. Thanks for hanging in there :-)

Squigglefly New Release Day!

Squigglefly has released lots of cute new images today from artists Cheryl, Nina, Lynne, Eline, Chesney, and Crissy! AND! Squigglefly is also introducing two new artists - Jane Beljo and Robin Willis

Head over to the Squigglefly blog to check out the new release images and a fantastic giveaway from Jane Beljo and of course lots of eye candy from the DT members!

My card today uses The Juggler created by the ever talented Cheryl Alger.

All papers are from Paper Temptress. The card base is Sparkle Blanc cardstock. I printed my background paper on Sparkle Blanc text and also printed "The Juggler" on Sparkle Blanc text. I colored my image with Copics and the sparkles of the paper still show through! The Juggler is layered on the gorgeous Pearl Vellum. Gorgeous I tell ya. I love printing my digi papers on the Sparkle paper because it totally gives the paper that extra something special.

So what are you waiting for! Get outta here and head on over to Squigglefly. Make sure you come back though ;-)

Happy Halloween!!

Remember this Friday Freebie from Squigglefly? This spooky witch was created by the talented Lynne Stansbery and in honor of Halloween I want to remind you that you can still grab the spooky witch here for free. Get going and have some fun!

GC28: Random Redhead Challenge - Thankfulness

This weeks challenge at the Gingersnap Creations Blog is Random Redhead - Thankfulness. You might be asking yourself "why the random redhead"? Well Shar & Ali, owners of the GC group are indeed redheads. They are both the cutest ever. I have red too just the grey is taking over so I have a few more colors in there too.

Onward.

The sponsor for the month at GC is Cornish Heritage Farms; so I created a thank you card using CHF stamps. The Kissable Tree is stamped with brown and the Scrapblocks Distress Circles was then stamped in white. I then pressed my Kissable Tree onto the Distressed Circles and there you have the kissing technique! The "thanks" is so cute and from the CHF Under the Sea.

Base is Bazill Bling and Basic Grey is the dp. The ribbon is beautiful and I believe it is from May Arts that I purchased from Confessions of a Ribbon Addict. She certainly knows how to fuel lmy addiction.
Play along for a chance to win some fabulous stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms. See the Gingersnap Creations blog for details.

Let me know with a comment here that you played along and the link to your creation and you will be entered into a draw for a V17 Amethyst Sketch Copic Marker and a Walnut Stain Distress Stickles and my Kissable Tree thanks card. Spread the word, let me know you did and you will have an additional entry. My little bit o blog candy will end on Saturday and the lucky recipient will be announced on Sunday. :-)

Paper Temptress Treasure Hunt

Day 4 is Me! I will be featuring the fabulous Double Sorbet. This card stock is 105# so is sturdy enough for all your gift box making and multi fold cards. The colors are bright and fun and you are sure to love them. So many fun colors to choose from.

Today I am using Watermelon/Kiwi Double Sorbet and Sparkle Blanc Text. This is a gatefold card I created for Squigglefly Challenge #25, which was to create a gate fold card. I embossed the paper with a cuttlebug folder and chose not to add embellishments to it because the paper brought out the embossing so beautifully.

The image is printed on Sparkle Blanc. I print all my images on Sparkle Blanc. Doesn't require any embossing, heat setting or acrylic spraying. It never bleeds. I love it! And this is using Copics. Also as you can see the sparkle of the paper appears through the Copic color and gives the image that special something.

Couldn't resist ;-)

Sick Birthday

Well the birthday girl woke up with a 101 temp this morning and has been in bed all day watching various moronic shows. Sponge Bob, Jonas Brothers, Sonny with a Chance...and guess what. I watched em with her :-)

Here's my poor sick teenager with her prezzies.

We wear the same size shoes {tee hee} ;-)

Yes we like to think we have a sense of humour.

Hoping she feels better tomorrow.

Squigglefly Sneak Peek ... Day 2

Here are my fur pups. Not the greatest pic but the only one I have of the 3 of them NOT moving and looking like alien creatures.

And here is one of the coolest images ever that you can purchase from Squigglefly on October 17th. Dogpile baby! This is from the uber talented Crissy Armstrong and I think maybe I asked "how about a dogpile?" and here it is! Thanks Crissy!

So the dogpile has Tasha on the bottom because Kryp is always chewing her up for some reason. She's the old lady but she is not allowed attention. So I put Krypto in the middle. Big bully that he is. Ruby is the smallest and is always fighting for the bone, the sock, the love, you name it. That roob-doob is a tenacious yet sensitive little pup. So anyway. I love love love this image. Ruby finally has the bone and she is the Queen!

Long Live the Queen!

:-)

Happy Birthday my Darling Daughter!!!

You are officially a teenager. Love you!!!

GC26: Spicy Supply Challenge - Brads

Head on over to the Gingersnap Creations blog to play along with this week's challenge! Brads. I used pearly brads to attach my ribbon which I thought accented this elegant lady perfectly.

The elegant lady and the sentiment are from 'Crown Jewel (Cadillac & Lady)' General Motors (GM) Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp Set by CHFarms. You can find it here.

I positively adore this stamp set. It combines elegance and masculinity all in one set. Super versatile doncha think?

I chose not to color the lady instead choosing to showcase the fabulous papers as well as the fabulous stamp.

That's the thing about great papers, makes creating even more easy and fun. These papers are from Paper Temptress. The image is stamped on Retro Silver Lustre and is layered on Rose Quartz and then layered on Retro Black Glossy Lustre.

The sentiment is on the inside of the card.

For Fun

Yep. I am going to embarrass myself and my family. Holly's post here reminded me of a Halloween party I went to back in my younger wilder days (teehee), 2003, yep not that long ago. Anyway. These are 12x12 layouts I did of that memorable night.

Enjoy! Happy Halloween!

Squigglefly Sneak Peeks ... Day 1

Welcome to day one of the sneak peeks of  Squigglefly's newest images! We have two new artists who have joined the Squigglefly team this month! We are super pleased to introduce Cheryl Alger and Eline Pelinkhoff. Both of these ladies are extremely talented and we know you're going to love their images as much as we do!

Our other artists have been working hard to bring you images that will certainly spark your creativity too. The images you see over the next few days will be available for purchase on October 17th. Be sure to check out the Design Team's blogs the next few days to see lots of peeks of what's new! You will find a list of all DT members on my right sidebar or on the Squigglefly Challenge Blog.

Here is one of the new images!! This is Flower Froggie created by talented artist Eline Pelkinhoff.

Now for the fun part! Somewhere on Squigglefly's site there is a button that looks like this...

Go try to find the button and when you do, head over to Holly's blog and leave a comment telling her where you found it. You have until Saturday to find the button. On that day random.org will pick FIVE winners from the people who have discovered the hidden button. The five winners will each win two images of their choice! You can pick one of the fabulous new images, or a favorite you've had your eye on! So head over to Squigglefly and start looking for that button!

Happy Birthday!

I'm using the birtday celebration sketch for this card. I've rotated it a bit and moved the right box to the left. You get the idea. I've used images/sentiments from 3 different Artistic Outspost stamp sets. I stamped an image from The Outpost on to cardstock painted with acrylic paints. "From the funny farm" is from the Home plate . "Happy Birthday" is from Polaroid Cutie.

Play along with the challenge to get a prezzie from Artistic Outpost!

Squigglefly Challenge #23

This weeks challenge is to make a card with purple, orange, and black- and one designer paper-and add a spider, bat or crow to your card. I used Maddie and Mel's Pumpkin Fun from Squigglefly which you can find here. I added fun flock to the pups to try and have them look like my Krypto but I think I am fun flocked challenged.
There is a freebie available on the Squigglefly blog for you to download and play along with this weeks challenge. See the fun witch below. She can be yours for free! Her mouth is a bit sloppy on my card but aren't wtches a little sloppy anyway? Does she look like she was in a fire? If you make a card for the challenge this week and leave a comment and link to it on Holly's blog she will enter you into a drawing for one of the new spellbinder impressabilities! Kewl!

There is still have time to enter challenge # 22 on the Squigglefly blog. Enter by the 17th for a chance to win two images from the Squigglefly new release that day.

Please join us for new releases and new artists on the 17th!  The Design Team will begin sneak peeks of the new releases on the 14th, so be sure check back.

Rejoice

Cornish Heritage Farms has a few releases this week one of which is 'Friendly Kritters Holiday Expressions'. I paired one of the expressions with 'Friend Kritters Cuddling Cardinals'. Paper is SU and Basic Grey. I used some opaque white from Copic to try and mimic snow. Doesn't look too bad does it?  I think this Holiday Expression set is going to be well used in my house. I have many stamps from CHF that I know I can pair many/all of the expressions with. Love it!
